The Maintenance Manager at Colonial Gardens Memory Care of Fort Worth is responsible for overseeing and performing general building maintenance activities to ensure the facility remains safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing. Under the close supervision of the Administrator, the Maintenance Manager will engage in a variety of tasks that include maintaining flooring, plumbing, electrical systems, and outdoor grounds. This role is crucial in ensuring that all equipment and systems are operational and compliant with safety regulations. The Maintenance Manager will also be responsible for monitoring and maintaining heating, air conditioning, and ventilation equipment, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally and efficiently. In addition to general maintenance tasks, the Maintenance Manager will monitor and record water temperatures in various areas of the facility, including resident use areas and dietary sections. The role requires a proactive approach to maintaining electrical systems, including changing fuses, light bulbs, and other components as needed. The Maintenance Manager will also be responsible for the upkeep of fire safety systems, ensuring that all fire alarms, smoke detectors, and fire extinguishers are operational and compliant with NFPA codes. This includes keeping records of inspections and maintaining contact with licensed professionals for repairs and maintenance. The Maintenance Manager will also oversee the maintenance of refrigeration systems, dietary equipment, and general building hardware. This includes performing minor repairs on various equipment and ensuring that plumbing systems are functioning correctly. The role requires a hands-on approach to maintaining both the interior and exterior finishes of the facility, including drywall repairs, painting, and flooring maintenance.
