About the position

The Facility Maintenance Manager at AMC is responsible for implementing and overseeing all facility-related maintenance programs and procedures to ensure the theatre meets AMC's standards of cleanliness, safety, and repair. This role involves performing inspections, managing maintenance tasks, and coordinating with vendors to maintain the facility effectively. The position also emphasizes strong communication and leadership skills, providing opportunities for career advancement within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly building inspections to identify necessary repairs.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and timely repairs in areas such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, and food and beverage equipment.
  • Oversee vendor activities, scheduling repair and maintenance needs, and monitoring progress for quality of work.
  • Ensure all life safety issues are addressed and building emergency systems are operational through inspections and vendor maintenance contracts.
  • Inspect and provide direction to janitorial service providers regarding cleaning issues that do not meet AMC standards.
  • Report facility issues that are not immediately repairable to the theatre General Manager and seek technical support as needed.
  • Develop routine systems for constant monitoring of problem areas in the facility.
  • Work with the General Manager to ensure procedures support a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for associates and guests.
  • Track theatre Variable Operating Expenses (VOE) related to maintenance, repairs, and supplies.
  • Follow safe use instructions for all chemicals and cleaning materials.
  • Provide training support for the market as directed.

Requirements

  • Age 18 or older; other location-specific age requirements may apply.
  • Six months of supervisory or commensurate leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and intermediate to advanced proficiencies in building trades.
  • Strong communication skills to provide clear details regarding building issues.
  • Proficiency in MS Suite.

  • Experience in facility management or maintenance roles.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
