About the position

The Facility Maintenance Manager at Stellar Energy Americas Inc. is a full-time, exempt position that plays a crucial role in managing all aspects of facility maintenance. This includes overseeing the upkeep of maintenance software, equipment maintenance, building registrations and permits, utilities, grounds keeping, security, and ensuring the overall functionality and appearance of the facility. The manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and maintaining the operations and reliability of the facilities and general infrastructure systems. This role requires establishing and monitoring preventative maintenance processes and facility inspection processes to ensure compliance with external code enforcement agencies. In this position, the Facility Maintenance Manager will supervise building maintenance and general maintenance workers, conducting performance evaluations and providing training as necessary. The manager will also develop, recommend, and administer policies and procedures to support grounds and building maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with approved standards. Additionally, the role involves fiscal management activities related to building and grounds maintenance, including preparing purchase requests, monitoring spending, and administering contracts. The Facility Maintenance Manager will serve as the point of contact for external departments regarding compliance and registration issues, as well as improvement projects. This position requires collecting and analyzing complex data, including utility costs and usage, and performing statistical analysis to summarize findings in reports. The manager will also coordinate site inspections and recommend actions for improvement, while promoting positive morale and teamwork within the functional unit. The role demands exceptional customer service skills and the ability to make sound judgments in collaboration with coworkers and clients. The manager will also prepare for ISO 9001 and other audits, ensuring that all duties are completed in compliance with established standards and guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of facility maintenance including upkeep of maintenance software and equipment maintenance.

  • Train and supervise the performance of assigned staff and coordinate with HR for disciplinary actions.
  • Coordinate and conduct site inspections and recommend actions for improvement.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in facility maintenance.
  • Experience in equipment maintenance/service.
  • Previous supervisory experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related discipline from an accredited university.
