About the position

As a Facility Maintenance Manager at AMC Theatres, you will be responsible for implementing and overseeing all facility-related maintenance programs and procedures to ensure that our theatres meet the AMC standards of cleanliness, safety, and good repair. This role requires a proactive approach to facility management, where you will perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of the building to identify necessary repairs and maintenance needs. You will be expected to carry out routine maintenance tasks, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, and equipment repair, while also overseeing vendor activities to ensure quality work is completed in a timely manner. In addition to hands-on maintenance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all life safety systems are operational through regular inspections and vendor maintenance contracts. You will also be responsible for monitoring janitorial services to uphold AMC's cleanliness standards and reporting any facility issues that require technical support. Your ability to lead teams and communicate effectively with supervisors, peers, and vendors will be essential in achieving successful maintenance outcomes. Responsibilities

  • Implement and oversee all facility-related maintenance programs and procedures.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly building inspections to identify necessary repairs.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and timely repairs in areas such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, and equipment repair.
  • Oversee vendor activities, scheduling repair and maintenance needs, and monitoring progress for quality of work.
  • Ensure all life safety systems are operational through inspections and vendor maintenance contracts.
  • Inspect and provide direction to janitorial service providers regarding cleaning issues.
  • Report facility issues that are not immediately repairable to the General Manager and seek technical support as needed.
  • Develop routine systems for constant monitoring of problem areas.
  • Work with the General Manager to ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for associates and guests.
  • Understand and track theatre Variable Operating Expenses (VOE) related to maintenance and repairs.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiencies in building trades including painting, wallpapering, plumbing, and equipment repair.
  • Strong communication skills to provide clear details regarding building issues.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and achieve results through resources.
  • Proficiency in MS Suite.
  • Six months of supervisory or commensurate leadership experience.
