About the position

StorMark Self Storage is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to join our growing team at the Richfield, NC location. This part-time position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for various aspects of facility maintenance. As a maintenance technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and integrity of our self-storage facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property maintenance, including landscape maintenance, pest control, and general preventative maintenance. You will be required to conduct daily walk-throughs to assess the facility's condition and address any issues that may arise. In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning and preparing units for new tenants, as well as handling abandoned unit clean-outs and haul-aways. Specific responsibilities related to self-storage operations will be provided through on-the-job training. These include lien procedures such as lock cuts, over-locking and unlocking units, and taking auction pictures using your phone. You will also be tasked with fixing hasps and performing door maintenance, as well as meeting with and directing vendors when necessary. Special projects may arise, and you will need to be adaptable to changing responsibilities based on your experience and the needs of the property. The schedule for this position is somewhat flexible, with work expected to take place any day from Monday to Saturday, including necessary vendor meetings. You will be required to work a minimum of 12 hours per week, with the first 60 days being particularly busy as the company establishes new ownership and customer policies. A reliable vehicle, preferably a truck, is necessary for hauling materials to and from the site. Responsibilities

• Conduct daily walk-throughs to ensure facility safety and integrity.

Requirements

• 1 year of property maintenance experience (preferred).
• 1 year of landscape maintenance experience (preferred).
• Mechanical knowledge related to facilities maintenance.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable vehicle capable of hauling materials.
