About the position
The Facility Maintenance Technician at Royal Fresh Cuts is responsible for performing a variety of routine semi-skilled maintenance tasks across two facilities. This role ensures that the facilities are safe, clean, and available for use, covering areas such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and general building repairs. The technician operates various maintenance tools and equipment and coordinates service calls as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform general building repairs and maintenance including lighting, painting, and pressure washing.
- Coordinate epoxy repairs for floor maintenance in the warehouse and processing room.
- Manage locksmith service calls as needed.
- Troubleshoot HVAC systems, schedule service, and change air filters.
- Coordinate annual inspections and service calls for fire sprinklers.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on dock doors and levelers.
- Monitor and service fire alarms with designated service providers.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and service on forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Handle plumbing issues in employee restrooms and processing room drains.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on trash compactors and security gates.
- Inspect pallet racking and coordinate necessary repairs.
- Coordinate scheduled service for generators and cardboard balers.
- Oversee maintenance tasks across two buildings and perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
- 3-7 years of working experience in facilities maintenance.
- Strong understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; customer service oriented.
- Organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task.
