About the position

This isn't any ordinary office; it's the beginning of a bowled new career as a Senior Bowling Mechanic & Facility Manager with Bowlero Corp. These managers are the ones who help keep our centers operating efficiently. They manage a team of mechanics who are responsible for the operation of their center's pinsetters, pinspotters, automatic scoring machines, lanes, and other equipment found throughout the facility. They're involved with all center maintenance and repairs, providing leadership to their team and support to the General Manager (to whom they report). As a Senior Bowling Mechanic & Facility Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations from a technical perspective, ensuring everything runs smoothly. You will be responsible for assembling an all-star team by recruiting, hiring, training, and scheduling B- and C-Mechanics whom you'll supervise daily. Training is a key part of your role, as you will provide instruction in Bowlero Corp's machine area, safety procedures, and standards of operation for bowling equipment, building maintenance, and preventative maintenance. You will also monitor and maintain compliance with all appropriate laws and policies, including OSHA safety practices and procedures. This includes monitoring machine stop records and summaries to determine repairs and scheduling routine maintenance of the HVAC system, roof, plumbing, electrical, life/safety, and other building systems. Additionally, you will assist in planning and budgeting for center repairs and upgrades, obtaining bids for routine and emergency repairs/maintenance, and suggesting improvements to the center's equipment to reduce environmental impact and cost. Flexibility is key, as you will be available to work varying shifts, from weekends to holidays, in addition to extended workdays as needed by your center.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the bowling center's day-to-day operations from a technical perspective.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and schedule B- and C-Mechanics.
  • Provide training and instruction to mechanics in machine operation and safety procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with laws and policies, including OSHA safety practices.
  • Schedule routine maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems.
  • Assist in planning and budgeting for center repairs and upgrades.
  • Obtain bids for routine and emergency repairs/maintenance.
  • Suggest improvements to reduce environmental impact and costs.
  • Be available to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of bowling mechanic experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to supervise a team of mechanics.
  • Technical proficiency in troubleshooting bowling equipment.
  • Ability to walk, bend, and stand for periods of time and lift objects as necessary.
