The Facility Manager for Valet Operations at our OHSU South Waterfront location is a full-time position that offers a salary range of $60,000 - $65,000 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package. The primary schedule is Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, but flexibility is required as the role may include occasional weekend work based on operational needs. In this role, the Facility Manager will oversee the valet operations, managing cashiers and customer service attendants. The successful candidate will be a motivated and energetic leader with strong critical thinking skills and a detail-oriented approach. They will be responsible for delivering premier customer service, resolving client requests and concerns efficiently, and ensuring proactive communication with clients regarding opportunities to improve operations. The Facility Manager will also supervise valet attendant relations with clients, ensuring that any complaints or misunderstandings are resolved diplomatically. The role requires hiring, developing, training, and supervising a team of employees, identifying proper staffing levels, and ensuring compliance with parking, security, and cash control procedures. Additionally, the Facility Manager will be tasked with maximizing profitability through revenue development, facility marketing, and managing the operation's budget. They will also perform general accounting duties, monitor facility maintenance, and implement safety plans to prevent operational issues. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys motivating people through positive leadership and providing exceptional customer service in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver premier customer service to our clients.
  • Resolve client requests and concerns efficiently.
  • Ensure proactive communication with clients regarding opportunities to improve operations.
  • Supervise valet attendant relations with clients to ensure that complaints, disagreements or misunderstandings about rates or services are resolved diplomatically.
  • Hire, develop, train, and supervise a team of employees.
  • Identify proper staffing levels to complete duties, deliver superior customer service, and perform daily job functions.
  • Ensure that proper parking, security, and cash control procedures are followed.
  • Maximize profitability through revenue development, facility marketing, cash control procedures, expense reviews, and managing the operation's budget.
  • Identify all procurement and vendor service needs of the location.
  • Perform general accounting duties such as accounts payable, payroll, and petty cash.
  • Monitor facility maintenance for cleanliness standards.
  • Monitor and review all damage claims.
  • Recommend and implement plans or programs to improve the safety of operations to prevent the occurrence or reoccurrence of similar claims.
  • Implement all policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all OSHA laws.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid state-issued driver's license with a current address and acceptable driving record.
  • Demonstrates ability to lead, manage and motivate team members.
  • Passionate about customer service and client satisfaction.
  • Prior experience developing budgets and P&L (Profit and Loss) review a plus.
  • Ability to react and problem-solve quickly.
  • Experience using various computer applications/systems (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Ability to learn internal computer programs.
  • Three years of high-level service experience in a customer and client facing role.
  • Supervisory experience and managerial involvement with multiple leadership and frontline team members.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous driving and valet experience (highly preferred).
  • Familiarity with Google Suite and Microsoft Office (preferred).
  • Ability to drive manual transmission (highly desirable).
