About the position

The Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of parking facilities, ensuring efficient customer service, and maintaining financial performance. This role involves managing staff, improving client relations, and addressing operational challenges to enhance the overall customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an active relationship with the client, providing regular facility updates and recommendations.
  • Participate in weekly meetings.
  • Train and coach staff daily, ensuring compliance with company policies and the CBA contract.
  • Maintain a staff training program and update the Training Manual and Operational Manual.
  • Oversee staffing and schedules for all parking staff to meet garage traffic needs.
  • Monitor and approve staff hours to ensure accurate timecards and schedules.
  • Identify operational problems and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Inspect facilities for cleanliness and safety issues, reporting any concerns.
  • Perform functions required for the safe and efficient operation of accounts as assigned by the client.
  • Establish performance criteria and job descriptions for all staff involved in the program.
  • Fill shift vacancies due to employee absences during regular operating hours.
  • Handle procedural violations or theft uncovered during field audits, resulting in disciplinary action.
  • Be proficient in revenue control equipment and understand its capabilities and weaknesses.
  • Maintain all equipment, troubleshooting malfunctions and performing necessary repairs.
  • Manage vendor activity and facility revenues, rates, and occupancy metrics.
  • Order and maintain signage, ensuring cash drops and daily sheets are delivered to the office.
  • Review facility fee schedules based on market rates and local parking trends.
  • Complete and submit a premises liability checklist for all facilities monthly.
  • Supervise enforcement of required locations and parking citation issuance levels.
  • Maintain responsive communication with clients, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Physically visit each facility at least once per day.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (Preferred)
  • 1 year of management experience (Preferred)
  • Driver's License (Preferred)
  • Ability to commute to Oakland, CA 94604 (Preferred)
  • Ability to relocate to Oakland, CA 94604 before starting work (Required)
