About the position

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Facility Manager to lead our Driver Operations team in Port Hueneme, Southern California. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, operational expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of driver operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction. This role requires a proactive approach to managing operations and a commitment to fostering a positive work environment. In this position, you will provide effective leadership and direction to the Driver Operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. You will oversee day-to-day operations, including driver scheduling, dispatching, and route optimization, to ensure timely and efficient service delivery. Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics will be essential to assess the performance of the Driver Operations team and implement strategies for improvement as needed. Compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to driver operations is critical, including safety regulations and licensing requirements. You will maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction, resolving any issues or complaints in a timely and professional manner. Additionally, you will provide training, coaching, and support to drivers to enhance their skills, performance, and adherence to company standards. Collaboration with the Fleet Management team will be necessary to oversee vehicle maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure the safety and reliability of the fleet. You will also manage departmental budgets effectively, identifying opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies. Regular reporting and analysis on driver performance, operational metrics, and other key insights will support decision-making and strategic planning. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Logistics, HR, and Finance, will be essential to drive alignment and achieve organizational goals.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in operations management, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with drivers, customers, and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices related to driver operations and safety.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Google Workspace familiarity with operational software and systems.
  • Having Blaze, METRC and Onfleet experiences is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends.
  • Experience in managing multiple sites.
