About the position

The Facility Manager position at Cigna is a critical role responsible for overseeing the repair and maintenance of buildings and grounds in accordance with lease agreements and site-specific equipment inventories. This position ensures that drug products are maintained in compliance with site regulations, the Board of Pharmacy, and all relevant regulatory agencies. The Facility Manager will manage a team of on-site Facility Management Technicians, ensuring effective communication within the Global Workplace and Site Leadership teams. In this role, the Facility Manager will be responsible for the preventative and corrective maintenance of critical equipment as outlined by established Global Workplace protocols, which may occur during both normal and non-production hours. The position requires a proactive response to emergency situations and the timely completion of maintenance CMMS requests in accordance with internal service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs). The Facility Manager will also participate in the selection of contracted services, maintaining professional vendor relationships to facilitate service delivery and ensure compliance with vendor agreements. Responsibilities include scheduling and monitoring contractors and vendors for the repair and preventative maintenance of critical equipment, managing site expenses and capital budgets, and collaborating with finance to create plans based on equipment life cycles and repair histories. Additionally, the Facility Manager will work closely with the operations team to ensure facility compliance with applicable regulatory and Cigna requirements related to safety, health, and environmental standards. The role also involves assisting in site readiness and audit preparedness, establishing a high level of customer service with both internal and external customers, and promoting transparency, communication, and ownership within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for repair and maintenance of buildings and grounds determined by Lease Language and Site Specific Equipment Inventory.
  • Ensure drug product is maintained in accordance with site, Board of Pharmacy and all regulatory agencies.
  • Manage a team of on-site Facility Management Technicians.
  • Effective communication within Global Workplace and Site Leadership.
  • Responsible for Critical Equipment Preventative/Corrective Maintenance outlined by established GWP protocols that may occur during normal and non-production hours.
  • Respond to Emergency situations whenever required.
  • Ensure maintenance CMMS requests are being completed in a timely manner in accordance with internal SLA's, KPI's.
  • Participate in the selection of contracted services and maintain professional vendor relationships to facilitate delivery of services and ensure fulfillment of terms of vendor agreements and contracts.
  • Schedule and monitor contractors and vendors in the repair and preventative maintenance of the site's critical equipment.
  • Responsible for site expenses, capital budgets, working with finance to create plans based on equipment life cycles, repair history, run rates and strategic planning of building needs.
  • Collaborate in weekly Corporate Change Control providing a platform for facility manager's to proactively discuss work to be conducted to mitigate risk and deliver desired results.
  • Work with operations team to ensure facility compliance with applicable regulatory and Cigna requirements pertaining to facilities/safety, health & environment.
  • Assist in preparation of site readiness and audit preparedness and documentation.
  • Establish a high level of customer service with internal and external customers.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and/or a minimum of five years of related progressive experience and/or training.
  • 5+ years Facilities Management experience.
  • HVAC and Refrigeration knowledge.
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral.
  • Proficiency with various computer applications including Microsoft Office, CMMS and BMS systems.
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, interpret documents, mechanical drawings.
  • Experience with managing subcontractors.
  • Experience in managing employees.
  • Driver's license required.
