About the position

The Facility Manager at the Uvalde, TX location is responsible for overseeing the facility maintenance department, ensuring the infrastructure is well-maintained and compliant with regulations. This role involves managing budgets, project management, and leading a team to maintain high-quality standards across various departments. The Facility Manager will also ensure adherence to OSHA protocols and manage documentation in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Managing facility budgets to ensure proper servicing of all departments within the Evaluation Center.
  • Responsible for all project management activities from development to implementation in the most efficient way with internal and external suppliers.
  • Use internal strategy to monitor/maintain all tracks in Uvalde and their maintenance.
  • Responsible for road building, road performance, and best ways to improve/develop tracks over the lifetime.
  • Developing and mentoring team members on various technical levels as they take over new projects and tasks.
  • Maintain/monitor the different department activities in Uvalde to track and develop high quality standards overall.
  • Responsible for legal, customer-specific, and internal processes within the department.
  • Ensure OSHA protocols are followed and all department activities comply with regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ Years of experience in project management, managing large scale projects simultaneously, planning, development, risk assessments, and budget.
  • Understanding OSHA regulations for Construction.
  • Proficiency in MS Office package (Outlook, Excel, Word, project management).
  • Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with KPI measures to improve construction processes, performance, evaluation, basic analytics, and statistical analysis.
  • Experience in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams and worldwide locations.
  • Experience ensuring regulatory compliance with different projects and/or certifications, documentation in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Experience leading large teams directly or indirectly.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Nice-to-haves

  • 10+ years of experience in project management and a Master Degree in Science degree in Construction Management or Bachelor of Science in Construction Science & Management.
  • Understanding of highway/road pavement construction.
  • Experience in facility maintenance management.
  • Green Belt Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • Understanding of the automotive industry.
  • Understanding of vehicle mechanics, alignment, and electronics, maintenance, repairs.
  • Experience with Auto CAD.
