About the position

The Facility Manager at NTT America Solutions, Inc. is responsible for overseeing the daily maintenance and operations of building facilities in a designated geographic area. This role involves managing both internal staff and external vendors to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the facilities. The position requires flexibility to address emergencies outside of regular business hours and emphasizes the importance of regular attendance and effective communication.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees property and coordinates facilities maintenance and project activities.
  • Performs interior and exterior building audits and ensures cleanliness of the facility.
  • Manages janitorial and facility staff to maintain cleanliness of building floors and corridors.
  • Works with suppliers to ensure proper restocking of facility-related consumables.
  • Provides access requests for critical and non-critical areas of the site.
  • Performs project duties assigned by the Regional Facilities Manager and monitors processes for improvement.
  • Coordinates property and building area requests, including furniture and material moves.
  • Coordinates regular building repairs and installations, including minor repairs.
  • Assists with facility setup and breakdown for events.
  • Maintains accurate records of daily tasks and updates maintenance status in systems.
  • Maintains working relationships with local trade vendors and submits service agreements.
  • Interacts with vendors to write requests for proposals and processes them for approval.
  • Assists in developing and maintaining performance within budgets.
  • Keeps financial records on expenditures for repairs and maintenance.
  • Assists in developing and maintaining organizational performance to key performance indicators (KPIs).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associates degree or 2-3 years of trade school or technical vocational training with earned certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience with hand and machine tools.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
  • Technical aptitude to manage routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC, lighting, and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in verbal, written, visual, and listening skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction and building drawings.
  • Ability to solve building and equipment problems with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to select and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Capable of operating lifts, forklifts, and other operator equipment.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, data entry, and CMMS.
