About the position

Graham Healthcare Group is seeking a Facility Manager who will work closely with the Director of Facilities and building management to ensure the maintenance and repair of all company buildings, properties, and equipment. This includes overseeing critical systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, elevators, generators, and landscaping. The Facility Manager will be responsible for executing new facility builds and moves according to the company’s standard project plan, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, and maintaining a safe environment for all employees. This role requires frequent inspections of the buildings to identify signs of damage or wear and managing repairs and maintenance to meet tenant contractual obligations. The Facility Manager will also coordinate with various departments including IT, HR, and Finance, and oversee subcontractors to ensure compliance with performance standards. Additionally, the role involves managing the parking program, maintaining facility-related information, and facilitating physical security controls across all locations. The Facility Manager will need to maintain a preventative maintenance program and schedule for all generators, ensuring that all facilities are compliant with GHG standards. This position requires a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as travel between various properties primarily located in Michigan, Illinois, and Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding communication, organizational, and project management skills, along with a solid working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and building codes. This role is crucial in ensuring that all facilities are well-maintained and that the needs of tenants and employees are met efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Execute new facility builds/moves against company standard project plan
  • Contact and coordinate professionals and specialty vendors for repairs as needed
  • Serve as liaison for local, state, and federal building inspectors to comply with standard regulations and ordinances
  • Maintain a safe environment for all employees with proper lighting, signage, and disability access
  • Ensure occupants and tenants are provided with proper utilities
  • Interact and engage in a professional manner when resolving problems and requests from building tenants and employees
  • Inspect building frequently for signs of damage or wear
  • Manage repairs and maintenance as required to meet tenant contractual obligations
  • Maintain facility spaces to GHG standards
  • Manage the coordination of building space allocation and layout, including seat assignments and changes
  • Maintain emergency layouts for all facilities
  • Work closely with general counsel, IT, HR, Finance, Safety, Privacy, and Compliance where needed
  • Oversee subcontractors for compliance to acceptable standards of performance and verify completion of repairs and maintenance in a timely manner
  • Oversee the parking program at all facilities
  • Maintain facility-related information such as addresses, lease terms, and vendor contact information
  • Facilitate the management of physical security controls with IT, such as the card access system, security system/burglar alarm, and video surveillance system
  • Manage, coordinate and/or facilitate office and kitchen supplies across all locations
  • Maintain a preventative maintenance program and schedule for all generators

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in property management and maintenance, or in a related field
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with multi-location/multi-state organizations
  • Outstanding communication, organizational, and project management skills
  • Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays and travel between various properties (largely MI, IL and PA)
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with ability to manage time efficiently
  • Solid working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and work habits, building codes, and safety regulations
  • Experience and familiarity with all Microsoft office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
