About the position

The Facility Manager at Idaho National Laboratory is responsible for overseeing the operations and maintenance of facilities, ensuring safety and efficiency while providing support to building occupants. This role involves planning, modifying, and maintaining facilities, as well as implementing building management policies and procedures. The Facility Manager will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure facilities are ready for use and to identify opportunities for improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, maintain, modify, and provide services for facilities used by the organization.
  • Ensure safe and efficient facility operations and maintain building systems.
  • Implement building management policies and procedures in accordance with Tenant Use Agreements.
  • Interface with facility operations, project management, and subcontractors to perform work professionally.
  • Ensure facilities are properly maintained and ready for use.
  • Identify potential improvements and implement changes for continuous improvement.
  • Submit, review, and approve Maintenance Work Requests and Work Orders.
  • Work with staff to ensure as-built drawings are current and accurate.
  • Observe work activities and correct deficiencies as needed.
  • Act as a liaison for completed project acceptance and turnover.
  • Participate in facility system assessments and strategic planning.
  • Respond to tenant complaints and provide technical support regarding facility systems.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to workers and building supervisors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience or Master's degree with no experience for Level 2.
  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience or Master's degree with 2 years of experience for Level 3.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy 'L' clearance, requiring US Citizenship.
