About the position

We are seeking a Facility Manager for WSI ShippingTree's Fontana, CA warehouse to lead our omnichannel fulfillment team (D2C and B2B). This full-time role requires extensive operational experience, process and systems expertise, and a proactive leadership approach. The Facility Manager will oversee overall facility performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with retail fulfillment requirements such as packing lists, compliance labels, and routing guides. The role involves monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial performance, ensuring leadership accountability, and making sure all operations adhere to industry regulations and safety standards. In this position, the Facility Manager will design and implement processes to enhance productivity while maintaining employee well-being. They will coach, develop, document, and monitor employee performance, fostering professional growth within the team. The Facility Manager will also be responsible for responding promptly to all correspondence and phone inquiries, maintaining and enforcing codes, safety requirements, and security measures within the facility. Additionally, they will oversee building maintenance, inspections, and address any concerns or requests that arise. The role requires attending workshops and training sessions to stay current with professional and technical knowledge, cultivating a LEAN culture through continuous process improvements and effective measurements. The Facility Manager will foster a positive, inclusive, and equitable work environment while managing facility equipment needs and utilization based on current and projected business trends. They will execute cycle counting plans and ensure inventory accuracy for audits, making this a critical role in the operational success of the warehouse.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in facility management within a 3PL or similar environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Strong proficiency in reading, writing, and basic math.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics and warehousing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
