About the position

The Facility Manager at Flexjet is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and coordination of all facility services, processes, systems, and industrial machinery. This role requires a proactive approach to managing the facility's operations, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally and that the environment is safe and conducive for all employees and visitors. The Facility Manager will implement a preventative maintenance program that includes regular inspections of the building and grounds, ensuring that all equipment and facilities are maintained to the highest standards. This position is critical in maintaining the day-to-day operations of the facilities and managing the department employees effectively. In addition to overseeing the maintenance of the facility, the Facility Manager will lead and supervise the facilities staff and vendor base, ensuring that all work orders are tracked and delegated appropriately. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, as the Facility Manager must define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to determine a clear path forward. The position also involves working cross-functionally with all levels of staff and vendors to find solutions to various challenges that may arise. The Facility Manager will engage in repairs to vehicles, manlifts, and aircraft ground support equipment, and will perform a variety of maintenance duties including carpentry, electrical work, painting, plumbing, and HVAC. This role also includes ensuring that vendors comply with Constant Aviation's needs and requests, overseeing the performance of outsourced landscaping and in-house janitorial programs, and responding to emergency facility requests. The Facility Manager will assist in soliciting costs for capital budgets and prepare facilities for changing weather conditions, all while participating in workplace health, safety, and Hazmat programs. Customer service is a key component of this role, as the Facility Manager must display excellent service to both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Own a preventative maintenance program including regular inspections of building and grounds.
  • Lead and supervise the facilities staff and vendor base.
  • Maintain day-to-day operations of facilities and department employees.
  • Keep track of daily schedule and delegate work orders.
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and determine a clear path forward.
  • Work cross-functionally with all levels of staff and vendors on path to solutions.
  • Oversee and engage in repairs to vehicles, manlifts and aircraft ground support equipment.
  • Perform duties in carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, and HVAC.
  • Ensure vendors are compliant with Constant Aviation needs and requests.
  • Oversee performance of outsourced landscaping & in-house janitorial programs.
  • Perform complex maintenance duties as necessary.
  • Respond to emergency facility requests.
  • Assist in soliciting costs for capital budgets.
  • Prepare facilities for changing weather conditions.
  • Participate in workplace health, safety and Hazmat programs.
  • Display internal and external customer service.
  • Manage and oversee projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with company objectives, timelines, and budgetary constraints.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in industrial maintenance.
  • Aviation experience preferred.
  • Automotive, aircraft ground support equipment, or industrial maintenance experience is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical acumen of building systems, certified in HVAC is a plus.
  • OSHA training certificate a plus.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Must pass a background check for airport security badge (SIDA).
  • Furnish hand and power tools to fulfill maintenance projects.
  • Familiarity with work order systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and professional appearance.
  • Certificate(s) for operating fork, scissor, or articulating lifts a plus.
  • Must be able to work in all climates.
