About the position

The Facility Manager at ABB is responsible for coordinating facility resources across multiple sites to ensure optimal workplace experiences. This role involves project management, stakeholder engagement, and maintaining safety and compliance standards. The Facility Manager will also focus on sustainability initiatives and oversee the performance of building systems, ensuring a professional and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with internal ABB stakeholders and third-party logistics providers to manage facility resources across multiple sites.
  • Prepare budgeting and pricing outlines for leadership and develop project schedules.
  • Gather employee workplace requirements for the next five years and lead vendor selection and contract negotiations.
  • Engage with cross-functional strategic initiatives impacting production, warehouses, and lab environments.
  • Manage projects related to construction, renovations, and tenant improvements, ensuring safety and compliance with ABB standards.
  • Work with the Environmental Health and Safety Group to ensure all locations meet safety and compliance standards.
  • Oversee the JLL Facilities Support team to ensure optimal performance of building systems and preventive maintenance plans.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives to maintain a carbon-neutral site and reduce energy and waste.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of experience in facility management, or an Associate degree plus 7 years of experience, or a high school diploma/GED plus 9 years of related experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in facility management, including budgeting, planning, and construction execution.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and demonstrate a sense of urgency.
