About the position

The Facility Manager at BGIS is responsible for overseeing the operations, budget management, service delivery, and client relationships for a portfolio of facilities in Social Circle, GA. This role involves ensuring facility uptime, compliance with health and safety regulations, and the execution of emergency preparedness and business continuity plans. The Facility Manager will also lead project management efforts, manage vendor relationships, and develop effective client relationships to ensure satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Manage operations and maintenance activities for a portfolio of facilities.
  • Ensure facility uptime objectives are met and operations are safe and reliable.
  • Create and implement annual facility management plans.
  • Oversee maintenance and repair activities and performance of internal technicians and service providers.
  • Monitor service delivery performance against established metrics and develop corrective action plans as needed.
  • Execute emergency preparedness and business continuity plans.
  • Develop and manage budgets for assigned portfolio and project expenses.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to source and qualify vendors.
  • Lead employee-oriented activities including engagement, development, and performance management.

Requirements

  • Community college diploma or equivalent education.
  • 4 to 6 years of facility management work experience.
  • Solid facility operations and maintenance management abilities.
  • Proficiency with facility equipment and building systems.
  • Strong service delivery management and budget management skills.
  • Excellent communication, influence, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong client relationship management and people leadership skills.
  • High degree of client service orientation and sense of urgency.
  • Solid project management abilities and emergency preparedness skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of health and safety requirements.
