About the position

The Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing customer service and custodial duties related to community buildings and facilities. This role includes maintaining security, enforcing community rules, and providing hospitality to residents. The Facility Manager will also assist with janitorial services, manage community areas, and ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist janitorial services as needed.
• Move and arrange furniture and equipment and set up rooms for conferences and meetings.
• Clean areas of the community as needed, remove litter and monitor community areas for damage, misuse, deterioration and improvements.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed.
• Enforce the community rules including at the playgrounds, ball courts, parking lot and pool.
• Maintain security of the entire community and recreational facilities.
• Enforce guest regulations and limitations.
• Complete daily activity reports neatly and accurately.
• Know and understand all standard operating procedures, personnel manual, facility rules and room rental procedures and requirements.
• Maintain a comfort zone in all conversations with residents and guests.

Requirements

• Ability to use methods, materials, and equipment used in custodial work.
• Safe work practices.
• Valid State of Florida Driver's License.
• Pass a background check and drug screening.
• Ability to work independently in the absence of supervision.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
• Ability to effectively interact with residents on a daily basis.

Nice-to-haves

• Custodial or janitorial experience where interaction with clients, staff, or community members occurred.
