About the position

The Facility Manager at Community Association Management Services (CAMS) is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operations of a large community. This role requires an energetic self-starter who can work independently and manage various maintenance tasks while ensuring a safe and secure environment for residents and visitors. The position involves performing general maintenance, managing contractors, and responding to emergency needs, with a full-time commitment of 40+ hours per week, primarily Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned work orders in a timely manner.
• Control inventory and management of supplies needed in the community for upkeep.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks to maintain the physical integrity of the property, amenities, and grounds.
• Ensure a safe and secure living environment for residents and visitors.
• Anticipate, identify, and correct problems involving the property.
• Assist in the oversight of contractors and vendors.
• Generate and perform checklists for ongoing maintenance necessities.
• Follow up on service requests and communicate with managers for the highest quality customer service.

Requirements

• Must possess your own set of tools, basic tool-bag.
• At least 2 years of experience in property maintenance or equivalent field.
• Attendance and punctuality are essential.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
• Must be available to perform after-hours emergency calls when needed.
• Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Comprehensive knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and life safety systems.
• General construction knowledge including light sheetrock, drywall repairs, and painting.
• General knowledge of swimming pool operation.
• Knowledgeable and skilled with the use of various hand and power tools, able to lift heavy objects, and climb ladders of varying heights.
• Carpentry skills.
• Basic computer skills to input and complete work orders.
