About the position

The Facility Manager at C&W Services is responsible for the supervision and development of the facility management group to ensure effective facilities and equipment maintenance at the assigned client location. This role is pivotal in extending optimal fulfillment of C&W Services' contract deliverables, focusing on service delivery, operational performance, safety performance, financial performance, and administrative performance. The Facility Manager will oversee the activities of various groups including Electrical/HVAC, Mechanical, Janitorial, and outside contractors, ensuring that all maintenance services are provided in a proper and cost-effective manner. In this position, the Facility Manager will lead, direct, coordinate, and perform all assigned maintenance and facility support activities. This includes implementing the “Safety First” program, managing customer relations, developing employees, staffing, enforcing policies, preparing budgets, and controlling costs. The role carries profit and loss responsibility for the account, ensuring quality control, developing maintenance processes, and managing all administrative functions related to the account. The Facility Manager must demonstrate good judgment in decision-making that affects the company's business and will be responsible for all salaried and hourly positions at the account. The Facility Manager will also oversee compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company and customer policies. Daily activities will include directing the Electrical/HVAC group, Mechanical group, Janitorial staff, and outside contractors, ensuring the proper operation of the Preventive Maintenance Program, and managing the facility's predictive maintenance program with a focus on non-invasive procedures. The role requires responding to deficiencies during normal working hours and after hours, ensuring maintenance work orders are completed accurately and efficiently, and presiding over weekly scheduling meetings to reconcile maintenance requirements across various areas.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies.
  • Manage the Preventive Maintenance Program and predictive maintenance program.
  • Respond to deficiencies during normal working hours and after hours.
  • Ensure maintenance work orders are completed accurately and timely.
  • Preside over weekly scheduling meetings to reconcile maintenance requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a college degree or 10-15 years of relevant Facility Management experience.
  • At least ten (10) years of experience in major site Facilities Management with a background in supervision, planning/scheduling, and estimating.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Membership and active participation in industry-related professional organizations (SMRP, IFMA, BOMA) with applicable professional certification is desired.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, or Management is preferred.
