About the position

The Facility Manager at Strive Pharmacy is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and safety of the facility. This role ensures compliance with safety regulations and manages maintenance and vendor relationships, while also supporting various departments in their operational needs. The Facility Manager is a proactive problem solver with strong communication skills, dedicated to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees building maintenance and manages overall services provided within the facility.
  • Ensures that the facility is clean and maintained according to company policy and procedures.
  • Ensures safety measures and best practices are exercised for general safety, including various safety programs.
  • Serves as the first point of contact for facility issues and ensures prompt and quality service is maintained.
  • Collaborates with all departments on new equipment needs and assists in assessing best fit, acquiring, and assembling said equipment.
  • Develops and maintains standards for planned preventative maintenance and general facility upkeep.
  • Creates and builds vendor relationships; manages and reviews service contracts and completed work.
  • Conducts monthly facility inspections and meetings to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.
  • Prepares the facility for changing weather conditions and addresses immediate needs as they arise.
  • Participates in the preparation and administration of the facility maintenance budget.
  • Collaborates with the Quality Department to document quality-related events for tracking and trending.
  • Conducts investigations into any employee injuries and/or accidents.
  • Collaborates with the Quality Department for scheduling routine and unexpected inspections or drills.
  • Implements proper security measures for the workplace in collaboration with IT and security vendors.
  • Coordinates building projects with the National Facility Manager and landlords.
  • Partners with Accounts Payable for vendor payments.
  • Promotes positive workplace culture and team-first attitude.

Requirements

  • Must be licensed and maintain a pharmacy technician license in good standing from the MO Board of Pharmacy.
  • 3+ years of facilities experience in a high-growth organization, preferably in a 50,000+ sq ft facility.
  • Prior experience in a Pharmaceutical, medical or laboratory setting preferred.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks from multiple sources.
  • A working knowledge of building systems and maintenance (HVAC, fire life safety, plumbing, etc.).
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and work with vendors to maintain SLAs.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced workplace with rapidly changing priorities.
  • Must be able to work in an industrial environment, standing and walking around as much as 90% of the day.
