About the position

The Facility Manager at Romark Logistics is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operations of the facility, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency. This role involves managing daily projects, training staff, maintaining records, and ensuring the cleanliness and security of the facility. The Facility Manager will also handle budgeting, contractor management, and emergency response procedures, while being on call to address any urgent issues that arise.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule daily projects to support the management team.
  • Analyze facility needs with the Sr. Facilities Manager and Sustainability Management.
  • Train Maintenance Coordinator, Maintenance Technicians, and contractors on facility requirements.
  • Conduct inspections and documentation for fire systems and refrigeration systems.
  • Maintain accurate records for major assets within the facility for 5-10 years.
  • Initiate and observe emergency response drills and maintain SOPs.
  • Manage site security and perform regular audits.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and manage related expenses.
  • Coordinate projects with management and oversee contractor work.
  • Manage the Powered Industrial Truck Fleet and ensure compliance with ANSI and OSHA requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a related role.
  • Experience with electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, pneumatics, hydraulics, welding, and machine repairs.
  • Strong knowledge of national standards related to facility management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Attention to detail in safety, recording, logging, and inspecting.
  • Proficient in various computer software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, AutoCAD, and email.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with CMMS (computerized maintenance management system).
  • Ability to work at heights of 50 ft.
