About the position

The Facility Operations Coordinator at AgVantage FS is responsible for overseeing the operations of the fertilizer and chemical facility. This role involves managing inventory, blending, and maintenance of facility assets while ensuring customer service and operational efficiency. The coordinator will work closely with the area operations manager and collaborate with various teams to ensure smooth operations and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the operations of the fertilizer/chemical facility.
• Assist the area operations manager with fertilizer/chemical inventory management, blending, and facility asset maintenance.
• Provide customer service and billing information accurately and timely to enhance inventory accuracy and maintain profitability.
• Operate and maintain facility equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Assist the Plant Manager with inventory, ordering, and month-end procedures.
• Operate product blending equipment and loading/unloading equipment, including trucks.
• Collaborate with Location Managers and Crop Specialists on work assignments and product batching sequences.
• Complete delivery tickets, transfer tickets, and invoicing for fertilizer and crop protection loads.
• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment and machinery.
• Coordinate centralized dispatch functions of dry and liquid facilities.
• Assist in sales with prospective accounts during the non-blending season.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in an applicable field or equivalent experience.
• 3 years or more of related work experience in fertilizer facility operations.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to close sales calls and provide agronomic solutions.
• Obtain custom applicator license and maintain a valid CDL driver's license with applicable endorsements.
• Demonstrated knowledge of fertilizer and crop protection.
• Ability to work extended hours during peak production times.

• General understanding of GROWMARK agronomy facility operations.
