About the position

SD Solutions, LLC is seeking a Facilities Operations/Management Specialist to manage facilities for a federal customer in Homestead, FL. This full-time position is exempt and eligible for paid benefits. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing client facilities, ensuring excellent customer service, and managing multiple facilities and contractors with minimal supervision. The role requires a self-motivated individual with experience in property and facilities management. The Facilities Operations/Management Specialist will support the Facility Infrastructure Manager (FIM) in creating Statements of Work (SOWs) and Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs), as well as handling procurement and work order processes. This includes entering data into TRIRIGA, creating procurement requests, and coordinating maintenance actions with various sites and contractors. The specialist will work closely with Corridor Managers/Specialists to gather detailed information about sites, equipment, and repairs, which will be reported to upper management. In addition to monitoring operational contract performances, the specialist will manage, track, and report on funding and budgets for initiatives and projects. They will support the Project Management Office (PMO) by monitoring maintenance work, tracking completion, and assisting the government in developing repair solutions for facilities. The role also involves oversight of environmental task completion and ensuring that all permits, warranties, and equipment documentation are properly accounted for. The Facilities Operations/Management Specialist will act as the single point of contact for all parties involved in these projects, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Manage client facilities for federal clients.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Create Statements of Work (SOWs) and Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
  • Handle procurement and work order processes, including TRIRIGA entries and procurement requests.
  • Coordinate maintenance actions with sites and contractors.
  • Gather detailed information on sites, equipment, and repairs for reporting to management.
  • Clarify work order requests and monitor minor repair and task order performance.
  • Monitor operational contract performances in the absence of the Contracting Officer Representative (COR).
  • Manage, track, and report on funding and budgets for projects.
  • Support the PMO by monitoring maintenance work and tracking completion.
  • Assist in oversight and monitoring of environmental task completion and documentation.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of related work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining working relationships with high-level officials and technical experts.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all team members.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, analytical environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a CBP Suitability (DHS Customs & Border Protection Public Trust clearance).
