About the position

The Facility Operations Manager (FOM) at Frito-Lay is responsible for overseeing all operations functions at a Distribution Center. This role focuses on people and team development, site management, and ensuring customer service excellence. The FOM plays a crucial role in driving results and managing change within the supply chain, ensuring that the team operates efficiently and meets service targets.

Responsibilities

  • Interview, hire, and coordinate training for all warehouse team members.
  • Develop a cohesive and empowered team of 30 - 40 employees with technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Manage day-to-day people issues such as crewing, safety, and specific employee issues.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Team to ensure customer service needs are met.
  • Meet cost parameters and execute service targets through daily management of expenses.
  • Ensure site regulatory compliance with OSHA, DOT, FDA, and EPA.
  • Manage warehouse space from both inventory and safety standpoints.
  • Facilitate and execute site acceleration each year to continuously improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Serve as a liaison with manufacturing and general suppliers.
  • Accurately provide customer service to Sales partners and execute product planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 0-8 years' experience utilizing a team-based approach to decision making
  • Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team-building skills
  • People and leadership skills with a track record of achieving positive business results.
