About the position

The Facility Operations Specialist will serve in the Facilities Management Division of the Public Works Department at NAVFAC Engineering Command Mid-Atlantic. This role involves managing facility operations, maintaining the Asbestos Program, and ensuring the condition of facilities is monitored and reported accurately. The position requires occasional travel and offers telework options at management's discretion.

Responsibilities

• Collect and record program-required data and costs using corporate authoritative data management systems such as MAXIMO, iNFADS, and ESAMS.
• Maintain the Asbestos Program to facilitate transparency, repeatability, sustainability, and efficient turnover.
• Serve as the resident expert on the condition of facilities.
• Screen urgent and routine service requests considering issues of safety, urgency, health, and security.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
• Experience utilizing software programs and database systems such as Maximo, AutoCAD, and iNFADS.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience generating reports and developing metrics for senior leadership.
• Assisting senior leadership with developing Maintenance Execution plans, Maintenance Action plans, and Long Range Maintenance plans for facilities.
