The Facility Operations Specialist position at the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), specifically at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library, is a critical role that encompasses both facility management and project management responsibilities. The incumbent will be tasked with overseeing the complete facility infrastructure and grounds, ensuring that all operations, maintenance, repairs, and upgrades are executed effectively. Additionally, the specialist will support all planned functions, exhibits, and special events, coordinating with contractors and ensuring that all logistical needs are met. The position requires full responsibility and authority for the day-to-day and long-term operational requirements of various systems within the facility, including heating, air conditioning, ventilation, elevators, electrical systems, and security. The incumbent must be proactive in identifying issues and implementing solutions to maintain the smooth operation of the facility.
