About the position

BGIS is seeking a Facility Program Manager (White Space Engineering) to oversee and coordinate white space deployment and engineering activities in Phoenix, AZ. This role involves managing vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with local codes, and interfacing with Data Center Managers to support client operations effectively. The Facility Program Manager will play a crucial role in optimizing data center performance and ensuring successful project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and coordination of white space activities including vendor management, rack, stack, infrastructure cabling, placement, cooling, and power deployments.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders and local authorities to install and power racks.
  • Document electrical installations or decommissions to ensure compliance with local code requirements.
  • Design, engineer, and coordinate the build of white space deployments including cabinets, racks, structured cabling, and power distribution.
  • Manage vendors in the data center space and ensure timely invoicing for projects.
  • Support and manage rack and hardware SKU power allocation, documentation, and validation.
  • Problem solve to resolve issues related to white space deployment.
  • Provide ongoing updates to internal teams and clients regarding project status and progress.
  • Document, manage, and escalate project and client issues and concerns as necessary.
  • Evaluate industry trends and coordinate potential opportunities with clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Facilities Management, Engineering, or equivalent field of study or work experience.
  • Minimum five years' experience in facility management or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of data center operations and system configurations.
  • Knowledge of fundamental electrical and mechanical Data Center operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical one-lines.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Visio, along with working knowledge of SharePoint.
  • Self-driven with high proficiency in time management.
  • Experience in procedure and process authoring, reviewing, approving, and executing.
