About the position

The Facility Program Manager at BGIS is responsible for overseeing the management and completion of facility-related projects, ensuring customer satisfaction while maintaining profitability. This role involves program management, client relations, and effective communication with various departments to optimize service delivery and project execution. The manager will also be tasked with maintaining safety standards and compliance, as well as managing resources effectively to meet project requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned projects by utilizing appropriate resources effectively and balancing customer requirements with company strategies.
  • Determine and facilitate the usage of internal and external resources required for projects.
  • Manage and complete projects successfully, ensuring customer project requirements are defined and met.
  • Own, manage, and implement the maintenance schedule and client work management process to meet or exceed customer requirements.
  • Provide ongoing updates to internal teams and customers regarding the status and progress of building activities.
  • Balance competing customer production priorities and negotiate compromises as necessary.
  • Ensure all activities are performed safely and in accordance with BGIS Safety Policies/Procedures.
  • Oversee the document management process to ensure procedures and standards are established and maintained.
  • Capture customer impacting and non-customer impacting events for proactive and preventative management.
  • Ensure compliance by consolidating training into a single system and producing high-level reporting.
  • Assist in diagnosing and repairing complex control systems malfunctions, requiring extensive knowledge of electronic or digital controls systems.
  • Provide proposals for retrofits, upgrades, and enhancements to existing equipment.
  • Manage safety protocols and procedures effectively.
  • Ensure high customer and employee satisfaction while maintaining profitability.
  • Document, manage, and escalate project and customer issues and concerns appropriately.
  • Communicate with other BGIS Departments to ensure successful management of agreements and customer satisfaction.
  • Evaluate industry standards for best practices and coordinate potential opportunities with clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent field of study or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Five (5) years of experience in facility management or a related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in all responsibilities of Critical Facilities.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio) required; working knowledge of SharePoint required.
  • Knowledge of building infrastructure systems required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Strong team building and training skills required.
  • Working knowledge of typical mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems associated with Critical Environments required.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 20%.
  • Physical ability to walk job sites in uneven terrain.

  • Professional affiliations preferred (24x7, IFMA, and Data Center Pulse).
  • Knowledge of Data Center Operations and System configurations preferred.
