About the position

The Facility Risk Manager (FRM) at Sierra Vista Hospital is responsible for protecting the hospital's assets from loss and coordinating loss control efforts. This role involves advising management on potential sources of loss and making recommendations to minimize or eliminate exposure. The FRM oversees the facility-wide Risk Management Program and ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation agencies, including The Joint Commission and the California Department of Public Health.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate loss control efforts and advise management on potential sources of loss.
• Make recommendations to minimize or eliminate exposure to loss.
• Oversee and monitor the facility-wide Risk Management Program.
• Assist in the Regulatory Compliance program to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Ensure adherence to guidelines and standards set by The Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or graduate from an accredited program in a healthcare-related field.
• Prefer two years of experience in improving organizational performance within an in-patient psychiatric setting.
• Knowledge of high-risk areas with at least one year of management experience.
