About the position

The Facility Security Manager at Kratos Defense is responsible for overseeing the security program at a government facility located on Fort Bliss, TX. This role involves coordinating with government personnel to maintain security for task order activities, ensuring compliance with security regulations, and managing a secure environment for personnel and assets. The Facility Security Manager will implement comprehensive security systems, manage access control, and provide training and briefings to staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Task Order Manager in coordinating with Government personnel to maintain program security.
• Ensure personnel processed for access meet prerequisite clearance and investigative requirements.
• Provide input to the Project Leader and Task Manager regarding security measures.
• Maintain media control and accountable classified material inventories.
• Monitor a visitor control program and manage visitor access requests.
• Implement comprehensive security systems including surveillance cameras and alarm systems.
• Manage daily activities regarding entry, video security, and other security devices.
• Create facility-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) based on Army Regulations and Fort Bliss' Security SOP.
• Conduct program indoctrination, annual refresher briefings, and debriefings of personnel.
• Conduct regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement measures to minimize threats.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• 5+ years of management experience in facility security management.
• 3-10 years of experience as a Program Security Officer (PSO) or Contractor PSO (CPSO).
• Strong writing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of personnel, industrial, physical, IT, IA, and information security principles.
• Active DoD Security Clearance and US Citizenship.
