About the position

The Facility Services Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of Thorntons branded stores, ensuring the integrity of brand image and managing maintenance capital projects. This role includes supporting the maintenance of bp Pulse EV chargers and managing a team of maintenance supervisors and technicians. The manager will focus on safety, develop maintenance processes, conduct audits, execute preventative maintenance programs, and analyze equipment reliability to improve uptime and manage long-term replacement strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the overall maintenance of Thorntons branded stores.
  • Manage maintenance supervisors, technicians, and service contractors.
  • Develop and implement maintenance work processes and training.
  • Conduct site safety audits and coaching.
  • Execute Preventative Maintenance Programs.
  • Analyze equipment reliability data and manage long-term replacement strategies.
  • Develop and deliver departmental budgets and performance reporting.
  • Manage contractor agreements and Service Level Agreements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or related experience.
  • 10 years of management experience in building maintenance or convenience store equipment operations.
  • Technical training certification or trade license is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead a large and diverse team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with HVAC, refrigeration, food equipment, pumps, and tanks.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in data analysis and visualization.
