About the position

This position is responsible for planning, material acquisition, team leadership, and oversight of operations and maintenance of assigned company facilities. The primary goal is to ensure high-quality, cost-effective installation and repair services for all systems at company facilities, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide the highest level of facility system service expertise and authority.
  • Oversee all facility operations and maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate facility projects such as construction, mechanical/electrical system upgrades, and capital improvement projects.
  • Manage tools, repair parts, and supplies necessary for routine and emergency tasks.
  • Investigate and analyze equipment/system problems, providing solution recommendations and cost estimates to leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with safe work practices and all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Manage the safe lockout of hazardous energy sources on facility systems or equipment during maintenance.
  • Notify team leadership of any facility discrepancies and required services that cannot be completed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years' experience in architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, or plumbing equipment and system installation, fault analysis, and repair in a comparable facility.
  • Alternatively, a related college degree or trade license with four (4) years' experience in the field of certification may substitute for the eight (8) years of experience.
  • Valid and unrestricted driver's license is required.
  • Ability to independently assemble all materials and resources to complete assigned tasks.
  • Knowledge of State and Local Construction codes and standards.
  • Ability to coordinate the work activity of others and train junior personnel.
  • Strong communication skills with customers, staff, and employees.
  • Willingness to travel to other facilities within the region, with overnight stays as required.
  • Availability to work any required shift on short notice, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
