About the position

The Facility Specialist is responsible for overseeing the operations and maintenance of company facilities, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective installation and repair services. This role involves planning, material acquisition, and team leadership to maintain a productive work environment. The specialist will coordinate facility projects, manage tools and supplies, investigate equipment issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level facility system service expertise and authority.
• Oversee all facility operations and maintenance activities.
• Coordinate facility projects such as construction and system upgrades.
• Manage tools, repair parts, and supplies for routine and emergency tasks.
• Investigate and analyze equipment/system problems and provide solutions or cost estimates.
• Ensure compliance with safety practices and regulations.
• Notify leadership of facility discrepancies and required services.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED equivalent is required.
• Minimum of eight (8) years' experience in architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical or plumbing systems installation and repair.
• Alternatively, a related college degree or trade license with four (4) years' experience may be accepted.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license is required.
• Ability to independently assemble materials and resources for tasks.
• Knowledge of State and Local Construction codes and standards.
• Ability to coordinate work activities and train junior personnel.
• Strong communication skills with customers and staff.
• Willingness to travel to other facilities with potential overnight stays.
• Availability to work any required shift on short notice, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
