About the position
The Facility Supply Chain Services Manager is responsible for coordinating the Supply Chain Management operational systems at a Piedmont Healthcare facility. This role involves managing product conversions, inventory management, and ensuring the facility meets its supply needs while adhering to organizational policies. The manager will also provide training for non-supply chain staff and support the Value Analysis process at both local and system levels.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate established Supply Chain Management operational systems at the facility.
- Manage product conversions, department requisitioning, and inventory management.
- Oversee par cart replenishment and patient supply charges related to Supply Chain.
- Establish unique programs to meet facility needs within PHC guidelines.
- Collaborate with department heads to fulfill supply needs while enforcing policies and procedures.
- Ensure efficient and cost-effective operation of the department.
- Train non-supply chain staff on MMIS operation and processes.
- Participate in and support the Value Analysis process.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, or six years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
- Five years of progressive job-related experience, including two years of leadership experience.
- Knowledge of inventory control methods and computerized inventory control systems.
- Familiarity with JCAHO, AAMI, and OSHA requirements.
- Strong customer focus and interpersonal skills to interact with hospital personnel.
- Analytical skills to develop reports and interpret data.
- Intermediate Excel and Word skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Financial and/or mathematical aptitude to interpret inventory abnormalities.
- Communication skills to motivate and document performance levels.
