About the position

The Facility Support Engineer 3 - Electrical role at TEKsystems involves supporting electrical infrastructures across data center campuses. The position requires expertise in industrial HVAC and electrical systems, particularly in high availability environments. The engineer will be responsible for managing power systems, conducting power interruption testing, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. This role is critical for maintaining the operational integrity of data centers and requires a flexible approach to shift work.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical infrastructures throughout the data center campus.
• Manage building management systems (EPMS) and perform Remote Power Panel (RPP) shutdowns.
• Conduct power interruption testing (PIT) and manage PDU shutdowns for power meter replacements.
• Perform master controller shutdowns or replacements as needed.
• Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code and safety standards.

Requirements

• Must have industrial HVAC/electrical and generator experience.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• All candidates must hold an OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E Certification.
• Experience with electrical systems in high availability environments such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, or pharmaceuticals.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of work/applied learning experience in technical fields (e.g., automotive, electrical, controls, data center).
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Nice-to-haves

• Qualified Electrical Worker certification.
• Previous data center experience.
