About the position

The Facility Support Engineer 3 - Electrical role at TEKsystems involves supporting electrical infrastructures across data center campuses, ensuring high availability and reliability of electrical systems. The position requires expertise in industrial HVAC and electrical systems, particularly in critical environments such as data centers. The engineer will work primarily on a night shift schedule, with initial training during the day shift.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical infrastructures throughout the data center campus.
• Manage building management systems (EPMS) and perform Remote Power Panel (RPP) shutdowns.
• Conduct PDU shutdowns for power meter replacements and perform Power Interruption Testing (PIT).
• Handle master controller shutdowns or replacements as needed.
• Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code.

Requirements

• Must have industrial HVAC and electrical experience.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E Certification is mandatory.
• Experience with electrical systems in high availability environments such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, or pharmaceuticals is required.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is necessary.
• 5+ years of work/applied learning experience in technical fields such as automotive, electrical, or controls.

Nice-to-haves

• Qualified Electrical Worker certification is preferred.
