About the position
The Facility Warehouser is responsible for performing essential day-to-day warehouse activities that include shipping, receiving, inventory control, and general administrative functions. This role is critical to the smooth operation of the warehouse and requires a proactive approach to managing various tasks efficiently. The individual selected for this position will work at Facility #4337, located at 10740-A Broadway Ave., Garfield Heights, OH 44125. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, providing a consistent routine for the employee. In this role, the Warehouser will engage in various activities that involve direct contact with other employees and the operation of heavy machinery. The position also entails access to proprietary information, raw materials, finished merchandise, and other valuable items, which may be supervised or unsupervised. Due to the nature of the work and the potential risks involved, the company has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect its operations, reputation, and the safety of its staff, employees, and vendors. Key responsibilities include preparing and completing orders for delivery or pickup according to the schedule, which involves loading, packing, wrapping, labeling, and shipping products. The individual will also receive and process warehouse stock products, ensuring that incoming merchandise is checked against bills of lading and invoices for accuracy. Maintaining high-quality standards through effective inventory control is essential, as is the ability to load and unload products from deliveries. The role requires operating tinting and mixing equipment and material handling equipment safely and efficiently, while also keeping the working environment clean and organized. The Warehouser will be expected to complete diary logs into inventory, report any discrepancies, and communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including safety, loss prevention, and security protocols.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
- Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
- Check incoming merchandise against bills of lading and invoice for accuracy
- Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high
- Load and unload products from deliveries
- Operate tinting and mixing equipment and material handling equipment in an efficient and safe manner
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
- Ensure that the stockroom is organized
- Complete diary logs into inventory
- Report any discrepancies
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures including safety, loss prevention, and security
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
- Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 100 lbs. on occasion
Nice-to-haves
- Have at least one (1) year of work experience mixing or blending raw materials and making a product in an industrial batch process
- Have at least one (1) year of work experience using material handling equipment (for example: forklifts (stand and sit), pallet jacks, hand trucks, order pickers, vacu-hoists, drum dollys, conveyor belts, etc.)
- Have at least one (1) year experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position
- Have prior work experience operating tinting or color matching equipment
- Have prior work experience repairing spray equipment
