About the position

The Facility Warehouser at Sherwin-Williams is responsible for performing a variety of day-to-day warehouse activities that are essential for the smooth operation of the facility. This includes tasks such as shipping, receiving, inventory control, and general administrative functions. The individual selected for this role will work at Facility #4337, located at 10740-A Broadway Ave., Garfield Heights, OH 44125. The position operates on a Monday to Friday schedule from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, providing a structured work environment with consistent hours. In this role, the Facility Warehouser will engage in various activities that require interaction with other employees and the operation of heavy machinery. The responsibilities include handling proprietary information, raw materials, finished merchandise, and other valuable items, which may be supervised or unsupervised. Due to the nature of the work and the access to sensitive materials, a review of criminal history is necessary to ensure the safety of the company's staff, employees, and vendors. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
  • Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
  • Check incoming merchandise against bills of lading and invoice for accuracy
  • Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high
  • Load and unload products from deliveries
  • Operate tinting and mixing equipment and material handling equipment in an efficient and safe manner
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
  • Ensure that the stockroom is organized
  • Complete diary logs into inventory
  • Report any discrepancies
  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures including safety, loss prevention, and security
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 100 lbs. on occasion

Nice-to-haves

  • Have at least one (1) year of work experience mixing or blending raw materials and making a product in an industrial batch process
  • Have at least one (1) year of work experience using material handling equipment (for example: forklifts (stand and sit), pallet jacks, hand trucks, order pickers, vacu-hoists, drum dollys, conveyor belts, etc.)
  • Have at least one (1) year experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position
  • Have prior work experience operating tinting or color matching equipment
  • Have prior work experience repairing spray equipment
