About the position

The Facility Warehouser is responsible for performing a variety of day-to-day warehouse activities that are essential for the smooth operation of the facility. This role includes tasks such as shipping, receiving, inventory control, and general administrative functions. The position requires a proactive approach to ensure that all warehouse operations are conducted efficiently and safely. The Facility Warehouser will work Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, contributing to the overall productivity of the warehouse team. In this role, the individual will prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to the established schedule. This involves loading, packing, wrapping, labeling, and shipping products. The Facility Warehouser will also receive and process warehouse stock products, which includes picking, unloading, labeling, and storing items. Attention to detail is crucial, as the individual will need to check incoming merchandise against bills of lading and invoices to ensure accuracy. Inventory control is another key responsibility, where the Facility Warehouser will maintain high-quality standards and keep track of stock levels. The role requires the ability to load and unload products from deliveries and operate various equipment, including tinting and mixing equipment, as well as material handling equipment, in a safe and efficient manner. Maintaining a clean and organized working environment is essential, as is ensuring compliance with safety policies and procedures. The Facility Warehouser will also be expected to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to foster a cooperative work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
  • Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
  • Check incoming merchandise against bills of lading and invoice for accuracy
  • Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high
  • Load and unload products from deliveries
  • Operate tinting and mixing equipment and material handling equipment in an efficient and safe manner
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
  • Ensure that the stockroom is organized
  • Complete diary logs into inventory
  • Report any discrepancies
  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures including safety, loss prevention, and security
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment
  • Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 100 lbs. on occasion

Nice-to-haves

  • Have at least one (1) year of work experience mixing or blending raw materials and making a product in an industrial batch process
  • Have at least one (1) year of work experience using material handling equipment (for example: forklifts (stand and sit), pallet jacks, hand trucks, order pickers, vacu-hoists, drum dollys, conveyor belts, etc.)
  • Have at least one (1) year experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position
  • Have prior work experience operating tinting or color matching equipment
  • Have prior work experience repairing spray equipment
