About the position

The Facilities Manager at Asbury Communities is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency of the physical environment within the Independent Living and Personal Care areas of the Senior Care Community. This role ensures that the community's buildings, grounds, and equipment are well-maintained and compliant with regulatory standards, while also managing housekeeping, laundry, and transportation services. The Facilities Manager develops and manages the facilities department budget, ensuring cost-effective practices and liaises with external contractors and service providers.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency of the physical environment at the Senior Care Community.
  • Manage housekeeping, laundry services, and transportation services.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards for buildings, grounds, and equipment.
  • Develop and manage the facilities department budget, ensuring cost-effective practices.
  • Liaise with and manage external contractors and service providers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in facilities management, preferably in a healthcare or senior living environment.
  • Knowledge of building systems, maintenance protocols, and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, ADA, fire codes).
  • Proven experience in budget management and vendor/contractor relations.
  • Proficiency with maintenance management software and standard office applications.
