About the position

The Factory IT Supervisor at Spectrum Safety Solutions is responsible for maintaining and improving the IT technical systems within the factory. This role involves project management for digital transformation initiatives and ensuring stable IT systems to support operations growth. The supervisor acts as the primary point of contact for IT issues and coordinates with various teams to facilitate seamless operations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve the IT technical systems of the Factory.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Factory IT issues and day-to-day IT requirements of the Factory Operations team.
  • Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance for IT systems.
  • Manage software updates and patches on shop floor machines.
  • Document standard procedures for IT-related operations in manufacturing and distribution.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendor support for factory applications and devices as needed.
  • Collaborate with Corporate IT Shared Services for seamless operational support.
  • Manage projects related to Factory Digital transformation and Factory 4.0 initiatives in coordination with operations leadership and IT leaders.
  • Understand factory technology needs and communicate ideas for implementation and development.
  • Provide timely communications to cross-functional teams regarding technology system changes.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting manufacturing information technology in a manufacturing environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with assembly lines requiring extensive testing and calibration.
  • Good oral and written communication skills when interacting with factory personnel.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to take ownership of IT issues and follow through to conclusion.
  • Clear knowledge and understanding of network topology, LAN, WAN, and Wireless Technologies.
  • Hands-on IT skills/experience in scripting and troubleshooting applications.
