About the position

The Factory Support IT Technician is responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for factory floor software and hardware, including industrial scanners and end-user computing equipment. This role involves troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance, ensuring that all systems operate efficiently and meet specified service level agreements (SLAs). The technician acts as a liaison between users and departments to resolve issues and improve operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Provide factory floor IT support with proprietary software and hardware.
  • Provide basic industrial scanner support including troubleshooting and configuration.
  • Provide onsite support to Authorized Users with operational and technical support to meet specified SLAs.
  • Resolve incidents and problems associated with end-user computing (EUC) equipment.
  • Perform reactive troubleshooting to identify potential incidents or problems and eliminate them.
  • Support Authorized Users in connecting to the corporate network and assist with LAN, WAN, and file services access.
  • Provide repair and maintenance for mobile devices.
  • Install, upgrade, and repair EUC equipment such as desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
  • Provide software break/fix services and replace non-warranty assets for end users.
  • Support end users with mobile computing platforms.
  • Provide support for various equipment including desktop devices, mobile devices, and printers.
  • Create, change, and remove printer configurations and queues based on requests.
  • Provide on-site hardware support for troubleshooting end-user computing technologies.
  • Utilize problem management databases to track and report on customer calls and requests.
  • Communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical team members and customers.
  • Provide deskside support services as required.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of related work experience in IT support or a similar role.
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • A+ Certification is required.
  • Sound knowledge of imaging tools (Ghost, MDT).
  • Sound knowledge of data backup and recovery tools (USMT).
  • Experience installing, upgrading, and migrating to Windows 7/10.
  • Experience deploying Windows 7/10 in large enterprises.
  • Ability to configure hardware and applications, network connectivity, and access to resources.
  • Experience monitoring and maintaining systems that run Windows 7/10.

  • Full-time position with competitive pay ranging from $19.00 to $25.00 per hour.
  • Regular working hours from Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend and after-hours work possible.
