The Faculty Compensation Analyst at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley plays a crucial role in providing advanced consultation, guidance, and direction regarding faculty compensation to institutional leadership and stakeholders. This position requires in-depth content expertise and project management skills in the design, development, and implementation of faculty compensation programs, policies, and practices. The analyst will be responsible for guiding the faculty compensation and performance payment processes, ensuring that all faculty members are compensated fairly and in accordance with established guidelines. In this role, the analyst will work closely with Colleges and Schools to create faculty salary ranges and will build and maintain dynamic models that allow for regular refinement and analysis of faculty compensation plans. This includes managing provider specialty evaluations, coordinating responses to compensation-related surveys, and conducting multi-variant compensation equity evaluations. The analyst will also collaborate with departmental and divisional leadership on ad-hoc analyses to support discussions and decisions related to individual faculty compensation. Regular control analyses will be performed to ensure accurate faculty compensation calculations and other model outputs. The analyst will serve as the market expert on specific provider compensation issues and projects, coordinating the regular review and analysis of operational performance relative to established productivity goals and their impact on compensation. Additionally, the analyst will assist in the annual budget planning process by producing analyses that help create accurate and optimized fiscal year budgets. The role also involves developing recommendations for strengthening compensation plans and ensuring the accuracy of faculty compensation data utilized by multiple parties. The analyst will effectively lead complex department-wide compensation projects to achieve the organization's strategic objectives and perform other duties as assigned.
