About the position

The Faculty Compensation Assistant Analyst position at UC San Diego Health Sciences involves providing standardized transactional support for faculty compensation and timekeeping functions. This role is essential in assisting departments with payroll management, salary analysis, and contract implementation for faculty and academic staff. The position is under the supervision of the ARC Payroll Management Supervisor and aims to ensure timely and accurate processing of faculty compensation-related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist School of Medicine departments with payroll for Faculty, Academics, MSP Staff Physicians, GSR/TA, Housestaff, and Postdocs.
• Manage Faculty Salary Worksheets and perform salary analysis.
• Implement MSP Physician contracts and process additional pay or Z payments.
• Support faculty and academic timekeeping functions.
• Gather, audit, and analyze data related to faculty and non-faculty academic salaries.
• Ensure timely data entry and auditing of all faculty salary processes throughout the fiscal year.

Requirements

• Four years of related experience or a Bachelor's degree in a related area.
• Knowledge of academic HR policies and procedures governing faculty compensation.
• Ability to organize workload effectively and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Familiarity with HR management systems and business software, including UC Path Payroll System and MS Office.
• Analytical skills to conduct salary history trend analysis and payroll discrepancy resolution.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Oracle and ServiceNow case management system.
