About the position

The Faculty Compensation Lead Analyst at UCLA will play a pivotal role in the annual salary negotiation process for the Radiology department. This position is under the direction of the Finance Manager and receives indirect supervision from the CFO. The analyst will be responsible for leading the complex task of managing the faculty compensation structure, which requires a deep understanding of the intricacies involved in Radiology faculty compensation. This includes updating the annual faculty salary data with the latest benchmark data, preparing annual Profit & Loss statements that reflect productivity metrics, and drafting annual faculty salary letters for distribution. Throughout the fiscal year, the Faculty Compensation Lead Analyst will maintain the primary report for the Radiology department, ensuring it contains the most current salary data to accommodate any changes. This role will also involve providing financial analysis and reporting, as well as administrative support related to various components of faculty compensation. The analyst will be expected to audit expenditures to ensure compliance with policies and guidelines, and to advise faculty and staff on proper procedures and forms related to supplies and services. The position demands a high degree of accuracy and the ability to independently organize and prioritize work while tracking the progress of multiple projects. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong financial analysis skills and a solid understanding of planning, preparation, and administration within a university setting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual salary negotiation process for the Radiology department.
  • Update annual faculty salary data with the latest benchmark data.
  • Prepare annual faculty Profit & Loss statements with productivity metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or Business Administration; MBA or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of University unit and systems such as QDB, PAC, TOF, EDB, Bruinbuy, Recharge, and other online systems is preferred.
  • Ability to audit expenditures and ensure compliance with policies and guidelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently organize and prioritize work and track progress of multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform detailed work timely with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in financial analysis, planning, preparation, or administration.
