About the position

The Faculty position in Cybersecurity & Forensics at Austin Community College is responsible for preparing and delivering engaging coursework for associate and bachelor degree programs. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and teach courses in Cybersecurity and Forensics to a diverse student population.
  • Utilize various instructional strategies to meet the needs of community college students.
  • Participate in departmental responsibilities including curriculum review and program assessment.
  • Evaluate student progress and provide timely feedback.
  • Serve as a mentor to students in the Computer Science and Information Technology program.
  • Engage in professional development activities to remain current in the field.
  • Support division and department goals through active engagement in decision-making.
  • Serve on collegewide and departmental committees and task forces.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by department leadership.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Information Technology, or related fields.
  • Three years of non-teaching, industry-related work experience in Computer Science and Information Technology, specifically in cybersecurity and forensics.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using computer applications and online learning management systems.
