About the position
The Cardiology Fellowship Program Director at the University of Minnesota is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Cardiology Fellowship Program. Responsibilities
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of the Cardiology Fellowship Program.
- Ensure the program meets all accreditation requirements and provides high-quality education.
- Collaborate with faculty, fellows, and institutional leadership to create a supportive learning environment.
- Align the program's vision with the division's mission to be recognized as a top cardiology program.
- Foster innovation in medical education and participate in cutting-edge research.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cardiology, including teaching and mentoring fellows.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in medical education or fellowship programs.
- Strong track record of clinical excellence, research, and scholarly activity in cardiology.
- Graduate of an accredited Cardiology fellowship-training program.
- Board eligible/certified in Cardiovascular Disease.
- Licensed or ability to acquire medical license and DEA in Minnesota.
- Ability to receive work authorization in the U.S. and maintain legal status.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in program accreditation and familiarity with ACGME requirements.
- Proven track record of innovation in medical education, including simulation and technology.
- Experience in curriculum development and program evaluation.
