The Cardiology Fellowship Program Director at the University of Minnesota is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Cardiology Fellowship Program. Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of the Cardiology Fellowship Program.
  • Ensure the program meets all accreditation requirements and provides high-quality education.
  • Collaborate with faculty, fellows, and institutional leadership to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Align the program's vision with the division's mission to be recognized as a top cardiology program.
  • Foster innovation in medical education and participate in cutting-edge research.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in cardiology, including teaching and mentoring fellows.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in medical education or fellowship programs.
  • Strong track record of clinical excellence, research, and scholarly activity in cardiology.
  • Graduate of an accredited Cardiology fellowship-training program.
  • Board eligible/certified in Cardiovascular Disease.
  • Licensed or ability to acquire medical license and DEA in Minnesota.
  • Ability to receive work authorization in the U.S. and maintain legal status.

  • Experience in program accreditation and familiarity with ACGME requirements.
  • Proven track record of innovation in medical education, including simulation and technology.
